Day 20: Early morning hike to beat the heat: Emerald Pools Hike

This morning we got up early trying to beat the heat on a hike that a lot of people recommend, Emerald Pool.

This was at the Upper Emerald Pool.

This was the creek running at the bottom of the hike.

This is also the Upper Emerald Pool.

Madi at the Upper Emerald Pool.

We saw this lizard as we came back down from the hike.

When we got back to the camper to leave for our new site we had an issue with our leveling jacks...meaning they wouldn't go back up when we tried to leave. We tried a few problem-solving things, then called the LCI company. After doing a voltmeter on a few things he said our solenoid is bad and we would have to manually lift our jacks with a power drill. The biggest issue is that we didn't have a power drill. We were about to head to a hardware store on a bike but found a neighbor that had one we could borrow. We were able to get them into the stored position and tried contacting several placed to get the repair done, but it was the holiday weekend and one guy actually laughed at us and told us good luck. We just haven't been using the jacks because it has been proven very difficult to get into an RV repair and find the correct part.
